Bonjour!

French Laundry started with a lifelong love of fabrics and interior design.

After years in the textile industry on both sides of the pond (USA and UK), I thought—why not?—and opened my very own online shop.

My mission is to bring you beautiful home décor fabrics at great prices while helping reduce textile waste — so it’s kinder to the planet and your wallet.

What is French Laundry about?

Here you’ll find designer fabrics and remnants from the likes of Designers Guild, Christian Lacroix, Liberty, and Ralph Lauren — alongside unique gems such as vintage Laura Ashley and Arthur Sanderson curtains.

I’m always on the hunt for the most beautiful pieces and hidden treasures, with one goal: to bring you high-end textiles at amazing prices!

Don’t miss the “Accessories” and “For Your Home” pages for carefully chosen gift ideas, handmade accessories, and one-of-a-kind finds to brighten up your space.

Love,

Noémie

- What are fabric remnants?

A remnant is a shorter length of fabric (often leftover from a roll). It’s perfect for cushions, lampshades, small upholstery projects, bags, quilting, craft projects, and more. Check out our gallery to get inspired by our customers creations!

- Why are your prices so good?

Because we specialise in remnants, end-of-roll pieces, surplus stock, and special one-off finds—which means you can snap up high-end textiles at amazing prices without compromising on quality.

- Are these fabrics seconds?

They’re always genuine designer fabrics, and they’re usually new and unused. On the rare occasion there’s any imperfection (for example, a small mark or weave irregularity), it will always be clearly noted in the product description and shown in a photo.

- How do I know how much fabric I need?

Please consider the size of your finished project and always be generous with the measurements ordered.

You will find this fabric calculator quite useful.

- Do you restock items once they sell out?

Sometimes—but most items are one-offs. If you see something you love, we recommend grabbing it while it’s available. You can also sign up for back-in-stock notifications when offered.

-What condition are vintage fabrics/curtains in?

Vintage finds and reclaimed fabrics are carefully checked and any notable details (e.g., gentle wear, age marks) will be mentioned in the product description—because honest vintage is part of the charm.

- Can I order a sample?

Samples aren’t usually available for remnants (they’re often too limited), but if a fabric is available in longer quantities we may be able to help — just get in touch and we’ll let you know what’s possible.

A word about packaging

Our packaging is eco friendly and we're thriving to reduce the amount of waste that reaches landfills.

As such, our paper sleeves are made from well managed forests. They can be recycled or even shredded and added to your compost!

Outer packaging: the envelopes we use are made with at least 60% recycled content and are designed for recycling.

For heavier orders, we always try to reuse shipping boxes when possible so they might not look brand new when you get them. If you require a brand new box, that is not a problem, just get in touch and we'll make sure that you get one!
